AT&T Sales Reps Are On Strike
Well well well, it seems like the democratic forces are setting in AT&T. Rumors had been bubbling all day, but now it’s confirmed. Sales reps at AT&T have gone on strike. They reason they cite is “corporate is unwilling to budge on benefits and compensation.” There’s also a contingency in place to cover the aftermath f the strike. Looks like AT&T saw this coming. And the Communication Workers of America are dead serious, check out what they say on their official website;
“Picket signs are being sent out to every CWA Local with Mobility members as the February 7th expiration date approaches. With little progress at the bargaining table, every Local must be ready to walk, if necessary, to get some RESPECT from AT&T Mobility.”
So just in case you’re wondering why the staff at your local AT&T customer support centre was all outside holding picketers and protesting (and not paying any attention to you), now you know. For more on what the CWA want and how long this may last, visit their website.
