HTC Raphael users who had so been partying on the pre-release version of Windows Mobile 6.5, but now the party’s over. Microsoft has issued takedown notices to the XDA developers and as of present all links to the original post and subsequent post have been removed. No more of Da_G’s Window’s 6.5 ROM. The only good thing is that the forum has neither been locked nor shut down. And for those of you banking on forums mirroring similar ROMs, well that’s gone too. Many websites and forums have reported receiving similar take down notices. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

Here’s another one from the halls of the xda-developers; all those who have a variant of the HTC Touch and love to show off new ROMs now have a new toy. You can try HTC’s new geo-tagging Footprints feature. A new Beta ROM from NFSFAN includes a version of Manila2D with Footprints and is available for Alltel, Bell Mobility, Sprint and Verizon Wireless Touch handsets. If you don’t have a Touch and want to try out HTC Footprints, herg62123 et al has released a new version of the standalone Manila2D – a pretty decent Iolite version that features a Footprints tab.
Here are your links to xda-developers forum. Remember that flashing ROM’s is not for the faint of heart, be careful and know what you’re getting into.

The master minds at xda-developers have just struck oil. The xda-developers are a group of software developers that have been working to construct applications for the HTC cell phones. At present, they have made the HTC TouchFLO 3D user interface available for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.
They have not only made the user interface available for the Xperia X1, they have also given you the luxury of choosing between the TouchFLO interface or Xperia’s default interface.
The TouchFLO 3D is a unique user interface, designed by HTC. It offers rapid touch response to the movement of the fingers while scrolling through contacts, browsing the internet or launching multimedia.
The Xperia X1 is Sony Ericsson’s Windows Mobile smartphone. It was Sony Ericsson’s first cell phone in the ‘iPhone Killer’ race. The cool cell phone features a colored touch screen with a slide out QWERTY keypad.
Needless to say that the TouchFLO 3D experience on your Xperia is one worth having. You can find instructions for how to download and install the free software here. The developers have tested the software, but they still maintain that you are responsible for your own device. Those who have used it seem quite happy. There’s also a demo you should watch of the software. Not only is it helpful for the software installation and operation, it’s also quite fun to watch.
