Consumer Cellular Brings New Data Plans For Limited & Senior Users
Consumer Cellular, AARP’s exclusive wireless provider, is offering data service plans for senior and limited cell phone users. Both categories don’t generally opt for unlimited plans owing to the fact that they don’t have such great usage, but then their otherwise usage is also quite below average because without the unlimited plans, data transfer like MMS is more pricy. This new offer from Consumer Cellular is an attempt to tap into this market segment.
Senior and limited cell users will be able to send picture messages, check news from their phones, as well as download ringtones, wallpaper images, screen savers and games. The plans offer;
1. Text and photo messaging: With Consumer Cellular’s messaging service, customers can send and receive both text and photo messages. Messaging service is available on a pay-per-use basis or packages can be purchased to reduce the cost for individuals planning to use the service regularly.
2. Wireless Web: Consumer Cellular’s Wireless Web service allow customers to access news (CNN and USA Today), financial information, entertainment stories, sports highlights and weather updates from their phone, as well as ringtones, wallpaper images and games. Billing is based on the amount of data transferred and several packages are available to meet various usage needs. Purchased content is charged separately.
