Google has gone out and done something so awesome that everyone will just rush to buy the iPhone now…NOT! There’s really no telling what was running through Google’s digital brain when it decided to add some new totally useless and hard to find features on its application for the Phone, but, well it’s here so it mandates a thrashing anyway.

The new features will be found if you keep on swiping upwards on the “Settings” screen (although why anyone would do this unsolicited is beyond me) you come across a new menu “Bells and Whistles”. Now when you click on this menu, you get a few options such as change the color of the application or change the default sound to a monkey or a chicken. (Writing this post took longer than you can imagine, I can either type or laugh!) You can also select waveform to appear when you talk. About the only useful addition is the option to open links inside the application. So for all those who needed a rock solid reason to buy the iPhone … Adieu.
