Low-End Device Alert; Samsung A797 Coming To AT&T Soon
Now among the handsets on their way to AT&T in the next few months is the Samsung A797, and it is a handset we knew very little about. Till today that is. Seems like some Atlanta native, oblivious of the unannounced status of the handset, got an A797 but then decided to jump ship and go on over to Sprint. Part of the breaking-ties was to put the A797 up for sale on Craig’s list (for $115). And voilà! Here we have an image of the vertical slider phone and its pretty QWERTY and touchscreen (because there’s no d-pad). The A797 is a dumphone feature phone and we don’t expect it to be setting any Olympic records. Since the Craig list sale price is $115, seems a safe bet that AT&T will be pricing this with fewer digits.
