Sony Ericsson’s W995a Here At Last!
Finally the handset that has been approved for sale in the U.S. by the FCC for what seems like ages now, is out on retail. The W995a is up for sale at Sony Style locations across the U.S. The handset is a replica of the W995 with the addition of a tri-band UMTS/HSPA (850/1800/1900MHz) radio. The handset is indisputably an awesome piece of entertainment with a 2.6-inch QVGA display, 8.1 megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilization and face detection, video calling, Wi-Fi, aGPS, FM radio with RDS, Media Go, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. And you can get this baby, unlocked, for around $600. Sweet!
