T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009, More Views

The T-Mobile Sidekick LX is up and around and finally user views and reviews are pouring in. how are they? Well, some good and some bad, but let’s all remember that the Sidekick is for the teens, shall we. So apart from the fact that the new upgraded version of the Sidekick LX is still called the Sidekick LX, Microsoft decided to hold on to a few more things, from the old LX too. But let’s talk about improvements first; for starters, the screen is really awesome, great resolution crystal clear stuff. Old Sidekick users will be right at home since the main navigation buttons like Jump, Back, Menu, Cancel are all where you’re used to seeing them, plus the navigation trackball is a joy. The QWERTY keyboard is damn good, in fact blows have been exchanged between Sidekick LX lovers and those who dare to defy the awesomeness of its QWERTY keyboard. (hehehe). The device is nicely thin, need of the day really. But Microsoft and T-Mobile need to give this baby some application love, and for that Danger needs to up the game with its OS, doesn’t really make an attractive environment for developers to be swimming in.
As for social networking, there’s a ridiculously laughable 6MB mailbox. Laughable! Exchange support has finally arrived though, and if you’re still actually using MySpace then you’ll love the Sidekick, but for all other social networks, it’s ok. Yes, just ok. In any case, the new Sidekick LX is a nice upgrade, nothing that blows the ball out of the park, but still nice.
