bell 8530 large1 Bells Inventory Home To The BlackBerry 8530 And 9700

Bell is going to make you Canadians take a new BlackBerry whether you want it or not. As you can see in these leaked images of Bell’s inventory system the BlackBerry 8530 is headed your way. The price you see is the full retail price, $499, and doesn’t show what you’d be paying on a service agreement, but it sure will be less than $500. Also, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is seen here too, quietly idling away the time till Bell sees it fit to announce to the world. Considering that the world knows already, that announcement may be soon too.

Bell Launches Pre, Campaigns With Lousy Commercial

palmpre1 Bell Launches Pre, Campaigns With Lousy Commercial

So Bell finally has the Palm Pre on board. Wohoo. Of course in continuation of the Palm tradition of making horrid commercials, the Pre is again promoted in a nauseating fashion. This time around, it isn’t some alien-looking woman talking about walking in the park with her Pre, this time the commercial does give the Pre to actually show up.  The problem is, it’s a pathetic rip-off of the iPhone ad. Really! Was that necessary? Taking an awesome device like the Palm pre and degrading to the level of a rip-off commercial. Also, since the App Catalog currently features only 50 something apps, how is there ‘an app for everyone’? Sad, just sad. Here’s the Bell Pre commercial

lg bliss keybo2 LG Announces LGBliss And LGKeybo2

LG Canada has announced its two new handsets, the LGBliss and the Keybo2. LG also managed to leak its own handsets a few days prior to official launch, probably got tired of the blogs getting all the glory. The LGBliss, the handset on your left above, features a full 3-inch 240×400 pixel touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, video capture capability, 4 1/2 hours of talk time and a UI that even the marketing people couldn’t make look good. Bell will be getting the LGBliss and you can get it for a cool $79.95 CAD on a 3-year contract. Now for the Keybo2, you’ll find a dual-keypad clamshell with a 2.6-inch 320×240 pixel internal display and a 1.56-inch 160×96 pixel external display. Other notable specs include a 3 megapixel camera with video capture, stereo Bluetooth support and up to 5 1/3 hours of talk time. TELUS will be hosting the Keybo2 and adding it to your list of possessions will cost you $129.99 CAD on a 3-year contract. LG is tight lipped so far about the possibility of these handsets coming to other parts of the world. Enjoy Canadians. LGBliss and here

Bell To Offer Palm Pre at $199.95

fs bell palm pre Bell To Offer Palm Pre at $199.95

While Pre sales have been all good in the United States, the Canadians haven’t had that big a chunk ‘o’ Pre to bite out of. All that changes now of course as Bell is finally offering the Palm Pre for $199.95 on a 3-year contract or $599.95 off contract “with a minimum 500 MB data plan.” Future Shop set up a pre-order teaser for the Pre too, smart move considering that everyone likes to be teased. In all seriousness, let’s hope the inventory plans to hold out and Bell is on better grounds than Sprint was.

BlackBerry Tour 9630 Now On Bell

bell blackberry tour BlackBerry Tour 9630 Now On Bell

Good news came the Canadian’s way this month, Bell released the BlackBerry Tour July 11th, instead of July 17th. That’s right people an early launch, BlackBerry Tour for $249.95 CAD on a 3-year contract ($699.95 contract-free). The only dampening part of this great move was the fact that supplies were and will remain scanty for a while. The move is an obvious in-sync marketing counter to TELUS, how could Bell allow them to launch the Tour with no competition whatsoever? Ah well, nothing that should stop a crowd of vigilant Tour-hungry adventurers. Way to go Bell.

BlackBerry Tour Dummy Units Arrive At Bell Stores

bell tour11 BlackBerry Tour Dummy Units Arrive At Bell Stores

Bell is sending dummies out, no it’s not shipping its HR people to remote locations all over Canada, the dummies I’m taking about are of the BlackBerry Tour 9630. And if unofficial official confirmation of the Tour coming out soon gets any better than this, than I’d sure like to see it. Not just that, but promotional stuff that is custom to new releases from Bell are also in motion so the Tour is coming, and coming real soon. But the question is will it drop in beside Verizon’s launch of the Tour? Are we looking at twins?

BlackBerry Tour Coming To Bell July 17th

bb tour press BlackBerry Tour Coming To Bell July 17th

Confirmation for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 via Bell is here, not official but you know it’s true and we know it’s true so it’s true. Bell has yet to make official announcements but the Tour is expected in Canada on July 17th. And now for the ever so accurate and likely guess at the retail price. The Tour will be out at $699.99 full retail. So what will people looking to sign up for a 3 year contract have to pay? Add and subtract a few numbers and our guess is at a good $249.95 of course Bell might cut it even lower and we could end up seeing the Tour go for a $199.95 or wait maybe even lower? Price limbo anyone? How low can you go?

Bell Pushing For An August Launch Of The Palm Pre

palmpre2 Bell Pushing For An August Launch Of The Palm Pre

Bell announced about a week or so ago that it will be the first Canadian carrier to launch the Palm Pre and ventured so far as to use the ‘exclusive rights’ phrase. But the launch date of 2H, ’09 was not enough for to quell the Pre-thirst; too vague. But now, to put things in a better perspective, it seems that Bell is working night and day to get the Pre out as soon as early August. The only hindrance that one can possibly perceive is the number of handsets that Bell can get out of Palm. Let’s hope there’re enough for both Sprint and Bell.
