Many of you may be disappointed to hear this but Verizon is looking to end it Buy One Get One Free promo on the BlackBerry handsets. Hey, come on, it was a Promo. The good that comes from it is that the BlackBerry will see a price reduction of $50. Although the cut off day is rumored around June 16, chances are it will actually be honored by Verizon upto the 27th due to advertising running amok. And out of the put-a-lid-on-it range. Highly doubtful that anyone could get a sales rep to continue the offer past the 19th but it was worth a shoot to those who tried and besides, you have a price reduction and all eyes are on the Tour anyway.

Among the more interesting handsets to land on Alltel this month would be the LG Tritan. The handset features a 3-inch QVGA touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, music player, G sensor, Bluetooth, a 3 megapixel camera all topped up with an ‘advanced UI’. Now for pricing, according to Alltel’s press release, the Tritan would be available for $99.99 online and in stores after a $100 rebate but if you look at the website, you’ll see a retail price of $449.99, an online discount of $270 and a $100 mail-in rebate, do the math and you get a sweet price tag of $79.99. So what the heck are you waiting for? This one has a BOGO (Buy One Get One free) offer running with it, so all you family-plan people can get to sharing.

Samsung fans who are looking to upgrade or open a new account with AT&T are in for a delicious surprise next month. Word on the blog has it that the carrier is going to launch a BOGO (Buy One Get One free) scheme on April 7th. Also the Samsung A877 will be launched sometime around, probably before CITA, as it’s one of the handsets being promoted through the BOGO sale. The A877 will be released under the name Samsung Impression. Here are the pricing details;
1. Samsung A877 Impression – buy one for $199.99 get one free
2. Samsung Eternity – buy one for $129.99 get one free
3. Samsung A767 Propel – buy one for $49.99 get one free
The Eternity will probably stay at that BOGO price of $129.99 even after the BOGO is over. Pretty impressive work AT&T.
