Verizon Brings More CBS Entertainment To VCAST
More entertainment is coming for those on Verizon Wireless. Verizon and CBS have reached an expanded deal which will result in greater programming for Verizon users. This includes shows like ‘CSI’ and ‘Survivor’ to be telecast on VCAST video service.
Spokespersons for both the companies have said that Verizon has broadened and extended the rights for retransmission consent for CBS network stations as well as its affiliates, and mobile rights for Verizon Wireless’ VCAST video service.
This new agreement will also result in full episodes of popular CBS primetime as well as daytime shows including ’60 Minutes’ right on your handset.
“Verizon subscribers will have continued access to the Number One TV network through VCAST on the mobile phone, which enhances our profile on a key emerging platform,” said Leslie Moonves, CEO of CBS Corporation.
So now Verizon users have another luxury to be proud of.
