
The LG Tritan is one of the handsets that’s slated for a debut on U.S. Cellular this month. The 3 inch QVGA touchscreen handset also brings full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, music player, G sensor, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera. Pricing, though not confirmed, is rumored to be around the very affordable point of being less than $100 after rebate. U.S. Cellular users will be required to get a $20 monthly data plan.

Samsung has finally made an official announcement for the big bad camera phone race, where cell phone manufacturers from all over the world compete to see who has the leanest camera phone out there. The set Samsung will be featuring is the Pixon 12 which features a whopping 12 megapixel camera. Specs include,
· a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display (Samsung claims it has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1)
· quad-band GSM/EDGE / dual-band HSPA (900/2100MHz),
· Wi-Fi, GPS,
· Bluetooth 2.1,
· FM tuner with RDS
· and 150MB of internal memory that’s expandable to 16GB via microSD
So it’s got more than just a really hot super ultra cool camera to it and while I will contend for the coolest camera phone title, adversaries in the really cool high-end phone market need to be watch out.
But coming back to the much hyped and anticipated camera, Samsung is claiming that the phone if capable of taking a new pic after a 2 sec respite while saving the image file and can additionally shoot video at 720 x 480 at 30 frames per second. And to put the cherry on top of the big sundae, the phone features multiple sharing and uploading options via Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr and what not. The phone is rumored to make head way by August to international markets while Europe can expect it by the end of June.
