Bell is sending dummies out, no it’s not shipping its HR people to remote locations all over Canada, the dummies I’m taking about are of the BlackBerry Tour 9630. And if unofficial official confirmation of the Tour coming out soon gets any better than this, than I’d sure like to see it. Not just that, but promotional stuff that is custom to new releases from Bell are also in motion so the Tour is coming, and coming real soon. But the question is will it drop in beside Verizon’s launch of the Tour? Are we looking at twins?
That’s right all you Tour-hungry maniacs out there, the BlackBerry Tour is well on its way to hitting Verizon Wireless come July 12th. What’s even better is that the handset is going for a smooth $199 on a two-year contract according to Verizon’s testman site. Very awesome!

No doubt news has been all about either Sprint or Verizon launching/announcing or bathing the new BlackBerry Tour 9630, but that doesn’t mean that the locals of the Smartphone are going to be left out. The TELUS Tour is rumored to be out on July 15th, which a lot ways away from the old rumored date of June 22nd. Delays are no one’s idea of the perfect summer but this delay is subject to the old date which itself was a rumor. However other rumors are that there might be a 1GB microSD included as compensation for delay. This is probably the too-far-fetched-to-believe rumor and with the pricing rumor of $249.99 3-year promotional price, it’s not about to happen in this life time.
Hitting it on the mark, the news about the Tour going official via Verizon was true. Ever so blissfully true, you can almost hear the angels singing. Although there was no official announcement as we expected, yet the website is all out there. Not with the greatest or in-depth product details but at least it’s official. And where we have waited this long, we can stand another short wait. And for Verizon’s sake, let’s hope it’s very short.
If everything goes the way rumors are pointing, Verizon users will have cause to celebrate soon. Word has it that the BlackBerry Niagara 9630 will be hitting Verizon as early as May this year. This also means that the launch will coincide with the WES. Of course this is all speculation so far, and may actually be an idea floated to keep in step with the WES releases. No details on pricing as yet.
