Alltel Gets A Verizon Blitz Lookalike – Motorola QA30 Hint
Alltel is getting a new phone Motorola that really looks like an effort to remind everyone of the Verizon Wireless Blitz, maybe that’s why they are calling it the Alltel Hint, more specifically, the Motorola QA30 Hint.
Since the Hint is inspired by the Blitz, it has the square form factor when closed. When the slider phone is opened, you get a nice 4 row QWERTY keyboard. Although appearance wise, I’d say that the Hint has suffered a little, the Blitz was better looking. But feature wise the Hint has an edge; there’sa2.5 inch QVGAA color display (support for 65K colors), a 2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm stereo jack, EVDO, and a full HTML browser. The operating system will NOT be any of the current titans like Windows Mobile or Android. Something simple and probably very boring will be filling up the screen when you turn your Hint on.
On a happier note, the phone has Facebook support and you can expand the storage capacity up to 32 GB with the microSD card support. Alltel must be pleased to be among the first to feature a handset, even this. Of course so far, all this is based on leaked images and specs. Maybe other carriers will have the Hint too, though so far we have no hint about it.
