Finally some news of AT&T, an internal list of pre-launch phones has found its way to the interweb, and it talks of good things for all you AT&T folks. According the list, the following handsets are going to be coming our way very soon;
- BlackBerry 9700 in charcoal
- Garmin Nuvifone G60
- HTC Tilt 2, HTC Tilt 2 without camera
- HTC Pure (believe it’s the HTC Snap)
The exact time-line of these handsets isn’t clear, we could be looking at anything between a two weeks to three month wait.

The Holidays are still a long way away but it’s never too early to start shopping especially if you’re shopping for a new phone for yourself. There is a new rebate sheet circulating the blessed WWW and it goes to show that at least phone makers are getting ready for the holidays. So the ultimate question of Best Buy or Worst Buy, (no pun intended) will soon be answered. Did you cough up some hefty cash too soon or were you right in holding out for the good stuff? The highlights of the sheet feature:
- HTC Touch Pro2
- Blackberry Tour
- HTC Snap
- Motorola W845
- Motorola Crush
- LG UX310 (replaces the UX300)
- LG UX700
The show stoppers are still the smoldering HTC Touch Pro 2 and the rocking BlackBerry Tour 9630. As with all rebate sheets the final drop date for these handsets may still be a while away. The validity for the sheet is 07/17/2009 – 11/12/2009 so actual release dates can’t really be predicted but corporate America never sits idle before the Holidays so expect something good for yourself this year.

T-Mo is all set to launch the Dash 3G by July 15th. The newly upgraded Dash 3G is being released. But, you already knew that, what’s more interesting is that the Dash 3G will be accompanied by an entry level handset from Samsung, the Samsung Highlight. It’s packed with features all set for the teen heart and includes specs ranging from a pretty nifty camera and integrated IM. Detailed specs include a 3.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus, video recording support, Bluetooth, GPS, multimedia player, integrated IM and a microSD slot. No price has yet been made public and no unofficial leakages as of yet that will help guess the price so we’ll just have to wait on this one, and guesses are that it will be less costly handset. So what are you going for? The Dash 3G or the Samsung Highlight?

Not quite the angelic face of the Aigen GM730, but the newest and latest from LG is bound to give the HTC Snap something to think about. The new set is aimed at business users and although it’s not about to win any pageants, it’s far from an ugly phone and will be sure to cause a definite impact on its target market. The phone features quad-band, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and “global 3G, so regardless of what a loser your carrier is, this phone is likely to become a must have for those corporate execs on the constant go. The set is called the GM 550 and it’s a smartphone in smooth minimal design. It features WinMo 6.1, an E71esque QWERTY, 2.4 inch QVGA display, 3 megapixel camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA / 2Mbps HSUPA, stereo speakers and a 1300 mAh battery. No price tags have been printed as of yet nor any release dates. The question now is to Snap or not to Snap?

Thanks to a product sheet leaked from the halls of T-Mobile, it looks like the Dash 3G will be out and about July 15. Unfortunately there wasn’t a handset picture, but it’s very likely that the Dash 3G will be the HTC Snap. No pricing info, but it should be decent enough on a two-year contract. And you remember the specs right;
- Windows Mobile 6.1
- T-Mobile AWS 3G
- 2 megapixel camera
- GPS
- 528MHz processor
- QWERTY keyboard
- microSD slot
- Stereo Bluetooth

Don’t you just love leaked documents? Anyway, for all you T-Mobile users out there, here’s a little good news; internal training on HTC’s Dash 3G (Snap) and Touch Pro2 is set to kick off June 16th on the east coast. What this means is that you’re very close to seeing the Dash 3G and Touch Pro2 in an official way. Of course there’s a little disappointing aspect to all this as well. The training doesn’t end till July 2nd in Baltimore/DC which means you won’t be seeing the Dash 3G come out July 1st. Of course this also means we could be seeing the Touch Pro2 before the rumored July 22nd release, so not all bad. But this is all for the east coast, which means the rest of the country may still have a shot at seeing one of these two great handsets sometime in June. Breath=baited.

The HTC S511 broke free of its captivity a week early much to the delight of everyone and made an appearance the Best Buy website with a rather outdated price tag and contract. The HTC that has gone by names such as HTC willow and HTC Cedar (and HTC Christmas tree) is Sprint’s take on the HTC snap and was rumored to be out by June 7TH. Sprint should make the handset official in about a week’s time with an updated price tag and contract. You can check out the details on the Best Buy website for this QWERTY, 2.4 inch QVGA and 2mp candy bar set.
But be warned if you decide to pick the 7th for shopping for a Pre and they tell you it’s out of stock; don’t get reeled into buying the Snap. It’s so not what you want if you came for a Pre.

Thanks to PPC Geeks forum member orionsbuckle, we have live shots of HTC’s newest handset to Willow to ogle at. The handset is headed for Sprint and is the CDMA version of the HTC Snap. We all remember the Snap and its 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 320×240 display, 2 megapixel camera and Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard. The front facing QWERTY is the same as that found on the Snap but the key layout is slightly different. The Willow is expected to launch for a mere $149 on June 7.

It’s strange how lady luck sometimes smiles when we least expect it. A simple post about Visual Voicemail service coming up from T-Mobile also unleashed an avalanche of information regarding some awesome handsets to come. According to the released document, in chronological order, T-Mobile users can look forward to;
1. Sony Ericsson CS8: 6/24/2009
2. T-Mobile Dash 3G (HTC Snap): 7/1/2009
3. Sony Ericsson CS5: 7/8/2009
4. Samsung t469 “Smiley”: 7/15/2009
5. Samsung t549 “XO”: 7/15/2009
6. HTC Rhodium (Touch Pro 2): 7/22/2009
And about the Visual Voicemail service, that will be out July 16th. We don’t see the HTC Magic aka MyTouch 3G on the list, which could be because the handset will be released before the end of June (fingers crossed).
