In all truthfulness, the one handset I never tire of looking at is the HTC Touch Pro2, it is simply gorgeous. Beyond the great looks, it’s a power house in its own right. AT&T subscribers have recently had the joy of knowing that the Touch Pro2 is finally coming their way and here we have an image of the Touch Pro2 with the AT&T logo. It also seems like the Touch Pro2 may be released under the name of Tilt 2. So this means the Fuze is not having any more kids? Fine with us, bring on the full touchscreen with a QWERTY!

HTC Pro 2 Appears On T-Mobile Website

picture 12 HTC Pro 2 Appears On T Mobile Website

Finally, the HTC Touch Pro2 has landed itself neatly on T-Mobile’s website. The greatest touchscreen and QWERTY handset ever will bring you a 3.6-inch WVGA restive touchscreen display, sliding QWERTY keypad, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, Wi-Fi, GPS, 512MB ROM/288MB RAM, microSDHC support and a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor, all come together under the umbrella of Windows Mobile 6.5 and Touch FLO 3D, it’s so pretty it brings a tear to your eye. The only possible problem may be the insane price tag of $349.99 on a 2-year contract that would make the most devoted HTC loyalist choke. If there’s going to be a price drop later on, we don’t know. And how much could they cut the price tag if #350 is where it starts from? Sad Tmo, very sad.

HTC Touch Pro 2

The Mobile World Conference sure was a blast and we are so pleased with the goodies that were brought out. Now according the HTC lineup you saw here, and yeah seems like it’s being followed to the letter, HTC has come out with updates to two of its very popular handsets. That’s right, you can oogle at the new and improved versions of the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro; Touch Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2.

Touch Diamond 2

Touch Diamond 2

The new Touch Diamond 2 has a larger (3.2” to be exact display) with a touch sensitive zoom bar. The TouchFLO interface is all new and improved with 3D. the 5 megapixel camera will give you plenty of reason to view cool or funny pictures of whatever captures your fancy of the brand new screen. Add to this the refined new exterior and you have a state of the art piece of smartphone equipment.

Touch Pro 2

The Touch Pro 2 is a real show stopper. It features Windows Mobile but it seems like this little baby is going to be the undisputed Windows Mobile phone of the year (someone is going to have to really throw the ball out of the park to top this one.) the Touch Pro 2 brings together TyTN II, Touch HD and the Touch Pro itself; the tilting screen is SO back. It has a huge 3.6 WVGA screen, one of the best QWERTY keyboards we’ve ever seen, a brand new TouchFLO 3D. you also get HTC’s Straight Talk which combines all communication to a single fluid UI. There’s also a really cool feature that turns the phone speakers off when you flip the phone upside down along with a mute button at the back of the handset that lets you mute your conference. The only sad part is that the camera hasn’t been upgraded to 5 megapixels.

BlackBerry Application Suite On Windows Mobile…Yipee!

winmo bb 263x300 BlackBerry Application Suite On Windows Mobile...Yipee!

Somewhere back last year, rumors had surfaced that were so awesome, they were just unbelievable. It seemed that Windows Mobile users were about to get the treat of a lifetime, the ability to use the BlackBerry Operating System to get access to BlackBerry Applications. This meant that the BlackBerry Operating System would run on Windows Mobile as an application.

Back then the rumor surged and then died down, because nothing material really showed up, but now there have been images out of that show off a damn good looking BlackBerry Application suite on the HTC Touch Pro. Not only images, but more details are gliding into the smartphone world straight from the mouth of RIM itself. The Application Suite is approximately 32 MB in size and is currently based on OS 4.2.1 which can be programmed to boot up as soon as Windows Mobile boots up. BlackBerry email, PIN messaging (and yes you can jump for joy, the BlackBerry Messenger works), calendar, tasks, address book and memos function in the same way as they do on a real BlackBerry, including BES synchronization. IT policies are supported and Windows Mobile and BlackBerry can operate simultaneously through their separate APNs. Another interesting feature is the fact that Windows Mobile and the Application Suite can each be tied into a separate Exchange accounts without complication.

Well that’s all the good stuff, but there are a few bugs to be sorted out, like GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi can’t work since the Application Suite does not have access to them. Also, phone calls can’t be made through the BlackBerry Application Suite and have to be routed back through Windows Mobile. There isn’t any support for Video Playback yet, not to mention some applications won’t work with a VGA resolution. These would be the blessed fruit of working with a non-open OS. Ah well, at Windows Mobile just got better.

It has a powerful 3G tri-band HSDPA. With AT&T, the user gets the world’s largest coverage so you don’t have to be worried about which phone to take on your next trip. 200 countries and 75 cruise ships…makes a compelling selling point doesn’t it?
