In all truthfulness, the one handset I never tire of looking at is the HTC Touch Pro2, it is simply gorgeous. Beyond the great looks, it’s a power house in its own right. AT&T subscribers have recently had the joy of knowing that the Touch Pro2 is finally coming their way and here we have an image of the Touch Pro2 with the AT&T logo. It also seems like the Touch Pro2 may be released under the name of Tilt 2. So this means the Fuze is not having any more kids? Fine with us, bring on the full touchscreen with a QWERTY!

HTC Pro 2 Appears On T-Mobile Website

picture 12 HTC Pro 2 Appears On T Mobile Website

Finally, the HTC Touch Pro2 has landed itself neatly on T-Mobile’s website. The greatest touchscreen and QWERTY handset ever will bring you a 3.6-inch WVGA restive touchscreen display, sliding QWERTY keypad, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, Wi-Fi, GPS, 512MB ROM/288MB RAM, microSDHC support and a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor, all come together under the umbrella of Windows Mobile 6.5 and Touch FLO 3D, it’s so pretty it brings a tear to your eye. The only possible problem may be the insane price tag of $349.99 on a 2-year contract that would make the most devoted HTC loyalist choke. If there’s going to be a price drop later on, we don’t know. And how much could they cut the price tag if #350 is where it starts from? Sad Tmo, very sad.

Verizon Wireless XV6800 Ð with Windows Mobile¨ 6!

You’ve seen what the new HTC Ozone looks like and Verizon has made official both release and pricing for the set. The HTC Ozone from Verizon will be out between June 29th to July 13th. Now that’s not a precise date but if you look at it this way, if the device needs to be a day or two late because war broke out at the North Pole, then we have a buffer period. The price is set at $49.99 post mail in rebate. And now, feast your eyes on a full detail specs list: the Ozone features EV-DO Rev. A connectivity in addition to quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE. The GPS device is thankfully not limited to work with the VZ Navigator and Verizon will be gracious enough to allow the device to be used as a tethered modem of sorts.

For fans of Windows Mobile, here’s another smartphone to be proud of, the Samsung GT-i8000. FCC just gave its nod of approval and blessings to this new WinMo handset. As to which version of the OS it will be rocking….6.1 ladies and gentlemen. What? No applause? Not surprised. Up your game Samsung. The handset has been given an interesting product name too; Cubic37. The only reason that comes to mind for this is that the handset will feature Samsung’s new cubic interface integrated with WinMO. Release date, carrier info and pricing details are what we wait for now.

HTC Gearing To Release Snap At CITA, A QWERTY Business Phone

snap5 HTC Gearing To Release Snap At CITA, A QWERTY Business Phone

Guess what HTC brought out at CITA? HTC’s new smartphone is taking a straight crack at the likes of BlackBerry and Nokia’s E71. The Windows Mobile device, dubbed the Snap shows off a 12mm-thick case and a smooth QWERTY keyboard. Now spec wise this may not seem the latest device, Windows Mobile 6.1 is oh so last year. And the 2 megapixel camera is nothing to flaunt. But, considering that the BlackBerry Bold also has a 2 megapixel camera and the E71 has an incompetent 3.2 megapixel camera, the Snap is just fine. Also, as far as the OS goes, neither the Bold or E71 or any other business phone takes the risk with a hot new platform, their users require reliability, which is best ensured with the help of a time tested OS. WinMo 6.1 does the job nicely.

The HTC Snap is essentially a messaging handset for those whose main priority is to stay in touch. HTC actually introduces a cool new feature; Inner Circle. Inner Circle allows users to define a group of high priority contacts. When inboxes start to get a bit out of control, a simple tap on the dedicated Inner Circle button will automatically place any emails from high priority contacts at the top of the inbox. Smart and very useful. Also, remember the fact that PIM/email is one of the core strengths of WinMo and you have an offering to kill for. The United States will probably see the HTC Snap (HTC S522, with AT&T-compatible 3G) to drop this Summer.

Here’s a list of specs and you can check out the full press release as well towards the end.

Press Release:

HTC Snap™ makes staying in touch with more people less complicated

HTC’s newest QWERTY smartphone features “Inner Circle” to automatically prioritize email from life’s most important people.

LAS VEGAS – April 1, 2009 – HTC Corporation today debuted its newest QWERTY smartphone, the HTC Snap™. Designed with a set of features selected to deliver everything customers need without overwhelming them with things they don’t, the HTC Snap makes it easier than ever to stay in contact with life’s most important people.

A recent study conducted by Harris Interactive® and commissioned by HTC* found that 44% of US adults are often overwhelmed by the amount of email they receive, and over half (55%) of US adults prioritize five or fewer people with whom they communicate via email. In response to these issues, HTC’s innovative Inner Circle feature allows HTC Snap users to press a dedicated Inner Circle key to bring emails from a preselected group of people to the top of their inbox, enabling important messages to be acted upon immediately.

“Recognizing that people are being overwhelmed by an avalanche of email, the HTC Snap introduces Inner Circle, an HTC innovation that makes it easy for people to prioritize messages from the most important people in their lives at the press of a button,” said John Wang, Chief Marketing Officer, HTC Corporation. “The HTC Snap represents the latest step in HTC’s mission to create a range of innovative smartphones, each with specific benefits designed to both surprise and delight our customers.”

With a slim, sleek profile designed to fit perfectly in the hand, the HTC Snap measures less than a half-inch thick (12 mm), yet it can deliver up to eight and a half hours of talk time with the standard 1500mAh battery. The full QWERTY keyboard is ergonomically designed with extra-large domed keys and responsive tactile feedback to make typing emails and text messages fast, accurate and comfortable. High-speed 3G HSPA connectivity makes it quick and easy to send pictures to friends, access favorite social networking sites, or download large files while on the go.

The HTC Snap is powerful enough for experienced business users looking for an affordable, straightforward choice for remotely synchronizing email, calendar and contacts with their Microsoft Exchange server. However, the flexible Microsoft Windows Mobile® 6.1 Standard platform allows the HTC Snap to also be simple enough for first-time smartphone users wanting to keep their family life organized.

The HTC Snap is expected to be available in select channels during the second quarter of 2009, rolling out in markets around the world throughout the second half of the year. Additionally, an unlocked version supporting HSDPA at 850/1900MHz for the US market will be made available under the name HTC S522 during the summer.
