nokia 55whatever Nokia 5330 XpressMusic, The Series That Keeps On Going And Going

It hasn’t even been a year and already we have the successor to the 5800 XpressMusic; the 5330 XpressMusic is all set to hit the United States. Too bad nobody wants it. Okay, before the Symbian crowd takes a whack at me with their mallets, yes a few people will definitely pick this handset up, but seriously folks, Nokia isn’t exactly scoring big time in the United States. The N97 was badly priced and featured nothing exciting, the 5800 XpressMusic had a score of glitches to its credit and the E72 wasn’t the BlackBerry menace it was touted to be. Nokia’s biggest problem with the American market has been the outdated UI on its devices and there’s no denying it. So what’s the 5530 XpressMusic got? Pretty much the same as the 800 XM, but with less weight and no 3G. Huge difference.  On pre-order now from Nokia USA, it’ll run you $289.99 (which includes a free mini speaker), we’re not expecting huge rollovers from this one. let’s hope the early adopters tax isn’t as biting as it ordinarily is.

nokia 5800i china FCC Gives The Nokia 5800i XpressMusic The Go Get Um Tiger

While Apple is speeding up all efforts to launch the iPhone in China, Nokia is heading for a speedy win. The FCC has just okayed the Nokia 5800i XpressMusic, and the Chinese label that it bears has telepathically communicated the most likely destination of the flagship device. The 5800i XpressMusic has been spruced up a bit too, which is a good thing and will likely bring a steadier fan base to Nokia. The handset also bears WCDMA 900/2100MHz alongside quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE. Good to see Nokia get along in the world.

e72 Nokia E72 And 5530 XpressMusic Official

Better official than unofficial huh Nokia? Not long after being filmed and leaked on YouTube, Nokia has made official announcements for two of its handsets one being the E72and the other is 5530 XpressMusic at Connection 2009 Singapore. As stated before, the E72 is indeed the next in line to the E71. It has 10.2 Mbps streaming subject of course to network support, an integrated compass, S60 3rd Edition and FP2 with a 5 Megapixel camera to boot. The XpressMusic installment, the 5530, although not as shiny as the E72 is nevertheless an EDGE phone device with 3.2 megapixel camera and 640 x 360 touchscreen. It has Wi-Fi but lacks 3G so we’re like Nokia who have you been dating? I mean you give us 10. Mbps but no 3G? What’s up with that? The E72 and 5530 XpressMusic should be out in the third quarter for about $489 and $278, respectively.

nokia 5330 Nokia Music Phones Get Pictured Prior To Launch

Looks like Nokia wasn’t able to keep the wraps on the three music centric phones that it slated for launch March 11th. These are the handsets in the XpressMusic series, we have 5030, 5330 and the 5730.

The 5030 XpressMusic is an entry-level candy bar handset with a crazy speaker on the back of it, an integrated FM radio and no camera (eekh!) the battery life will allegedly give 24 hours of playback time and will be around some time in the next quarter for an understandably affordable €40($51).

The 5330 XpressMusic is a better looking, even stylish slider phone which also has 24 hours of playback time on a single battery charge. It has some kind of lighting effects, a 3.5 mm audio jack and dedicated multimedia keys. Expect it some time in Q3 for €160 ($203).

Finally we have the QWERTY 5730 XpressMusic, which probably feels like a king next to the other two. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, integrated GPS and special Ovi integration on the home screen. You can expect the 5730 along with the 5030 next quarter and be prepared to fork over €280 ($366).

Nokia XpressMusic 5630 Shows Up At FCC…Not What We Were Expecting

5630xm Nokia XpressMusic 5630 Shows Up At FCC...Not What We Were Expecting

While the world waits with baited breath for Nokia to come out with what better be a damn good looking handset that will bear its 8 megapixel camera, Nokia itself has decided put a basic, entry-level candy bar phone under FCC’s knife for approval. Boo. The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic has a tiny screen and a 3.2 megapixel camera. A very slim handset, only 12 mm thick, you’ll just look at it and wonder why the heck you’re reading about it and what on earth would possess Nokia to even let this thing out of the house, knowing well what we all hungrily wait for.  I’m in absolutely no mood for kindness, stuff this little boy in some obscure corner at the MWC, and bring on the good stuff; 8 megapixels, on a 3.5G handset, big fat internal memory, Wi-Fi, and all the other cookies. Yum.
