No, this does not mean that Apple will seek approval from the Servants of God every time they launch an application, but this one is special. The new App is called the iBreviary. The iBreviary offers the Catholics a practical alternative of their prayer-books. Besides, its content is available in several languages (English, Latin, Spanish, French and Italian), which makes the software accessible to many people across the globe. Hence the reason for seeking the Vatican’s approval. Beyond the novelty of the application, it’s a much needed and very well designed feature. No wherever you are, you’ll have your prayer-book right on your iPhone.
